3. Summary of DAV Winter Sports Clinic: The DAV Winter Sports Clinic was a success. Sue sent thank you letter to the editors of the Times and the Daily News. Sue Melus’ article on the clinic also ran in the Sopris Sun. Copies of the articles and a thank you went out to the Rifle Elks Lodge #2195.
4. CO Bowhunter’s Assoc. 3D Shoot will be on May 31 from 8:00 to 3:00 pm. Cost is $10 per person. There will be two course with twelve 3D targets at each. Bring your own bow.
5. Getting new members was discussed. Diane Ostrander will speak with Ducks Unlimited. It was noted that a great way to recruit new shooters is to invite them over from the public shotgun range whenever the club is open for shooting.
6. BOM Voting. The voting ballot was not included on the membership renewal that went out in the mail. Voting was tabled for 60 days.
7. Wednesday night shoots will begin on April 8th from 4:30 to 7:00.
8. New business
- The backside of the form that the commercial users use will not have the rules and regulations.
- Diane will write verbage for a sign to put next to the hand throwing shotgun range that will let shooters know when they can shoot on the trap and skeet ranges. Peter will see about getting the sign made.
- Diane got membership/ business cards made for the club. The membership cards will be kept at home with her and not at the club.
